Mr. Albert Meenk, age 89 of Lynden, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The son of Matthew and Marie (VanderGriend) Meenk, Albert was born on the family farm on the Abbott Road on March 22, 1915. He grew up and also farmed there for most of his life. He was married to Grace Boukamp on May 19, 1937.

Mr. Meenk was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church where he also served on the consistory. He was also a member of the Lynden Christian School Board.

He loved and was loved by his wife, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His biggest joy was to have his family together. He was devoted to God, his family, his church and Christian education.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jake, Mike and Dutch Meenk and sisters Margaret VanAndel and Adriana Starkenburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Fund of the Third Christian Reformed Church, 514 Liberty St., Lynden 98264 or to Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 800 E. Chestnut, Bellingham 98225.
