Memisa gaf ook een Medisch Hygiënisch handboek voor Missionarissen uit. Rond 1950 had de organisatie een Keuringsraad die missionarissen onderzocht op hun geschiktheid voor uitzending. In 1954 was de internist dr. J.A.G. ten Berg aan deze raad verbonden.
