Het trouwboek van Bunde vermeldt: Hindrick Jans, zoon van de overleden Jan Freerks, en Syben Garrelts, nagelaten dochter van Garrelt Wychman, van Bunde. Maar er is in hetzelfde jaar ook een inschrijving in het trouwboek van Wymeer: Hinderick Janse, van het Kloosterland en Siben Garrels, uit de buurlanden, "8 Maart voor het eerstemaal geproclameert. 11 April gecopuleert". Er zijn twee redenen om aan te nemen dat het in beide gevallen om hetzelfde bruidspaar gaat: er worden in Wymeer wel maar in Bunde geen kinderen uit dit huwelijk gevonden. De naam van de oudste zonen zijn Jan en Garrelt, naar de vaders van respectievelijk Hindrick en Syben. Zoals het hoorde. Concluderend: de inschrijving in Wymeer moet als ondertrouw worden opgevat.
We weten uit de aantekening in het doopboek betreffende een van zijn kinderen dat hij en zijn echtgenote op het Kloosterland woonden. Ook verdere nazaten zijn met Kloosterland Dünebroek verbonden. Het is daarom opmerkelijk dat hij in Bunde is begraven. Maar Kloosterland Dünebroek, hoewel tot het kerspel Wymeer behorende, ligt dicht tegen Bunde aan. Er kan dus een praktische reden zijn geweest voor een begrafenis in Bunde. Overigens laat het begraafboek geen misverstand bestaan over de identiteit van de overledene, want hij wordt daarin de "man van Sieben Garrels" genoemd.
Hij komt niet voor op de kerklidmatenlijst van 1713 van Wymeer, maar er
figureert wel ene Siben, zonder patroniem.23
