Notes about Arend EXALTO

Mr. Arend Exalto d’Almaraz trouwt eerst N.N. en 17-11-1626 Rotterdam en Gorinchem met Grietgen Ariens (die de latere Margita van Est moet zijn) uit Doesburg en wonende in de 7huysen. Uit deze tweede vrouw vindt men kinderen te Woudrichem, waar Arend zich na zijn vorige woonplaats Gorkum, had gevestigd. Het zijn Nicolaas, . .- 10-1641; Maria, 28-12-1642; Maria, 3-4-1644; Tobia, 3-6-1646; Michael, 14-2-1649 en Antonie, 1-2-1654. Er waren ook kinderen te Gorkum geboren. Hier zullen de zoons Arent, Adriaen en Marcus geboren zijn. Van Arent staat het toevallig vast. Immers in de notariële protocollen van Gorkum (no. 3990) d.d. 25-4-1659 verklaren Arent Exalto, oud omtrent 73 jaar, procureur te Woudrichem, en Margrita van Est, oud omtrent 51 jaren, dat zij in 1628 voor ‘de tijd van drie jaar te Gorkum ,,seecker huysken” gehuurd hadden voor 36 gulden. Hier was in het voorhuis geboren: Maria, 17-4-1629 en hun zoon Arent, 22-2-1631, ,,noch int leeven sijnde”.
