Anna is in 1848 geemigreerd naar USA met drie kleine kinderen, Neeltje, Andries, Dirk en Pieternella.
Ze maakte de overtocht met het zeilschip De Louvre “The Louvre” In Saint Louis is ze getrouwd met Claas Waterhout in 1854. Claas was geboren in de Beemster. Ze kregen nog twee kinderen: Maggie en Nicolas. Nicolas kreeg nog zes kinderen. In en rond Saint Louis wonen vele Waterhouts.
Andries vocht in Cival war.Nam deel aan vele gevechten en schermutselingen maar werd niet gewond.
City of Sunset Hills: Main Page Dit is de city waar Claas en Anna woonden. Op de website is een history book waarin de Waterhouts en Andy Bowman (Andries) worden genoemd. Andries was in 1880 nog vrijgezel en Anna overleed 12 April 1885
