WITT (Thomas de) (1), geb. 1548 te Dordrecht, gest. ald. 1 Dec. 1601; derde zoon van Willem (1) de Witt (zie beneden) en Maria van Wezel. Hij was in 1587 en daarna verscheidene malen schepen in zijne geboortestad; lid van de veertigen sedert 1586; burgemeester van 's heeren wegen in 1601; gedeputeerde in de Gecommitteerde Raden van Holland 1598-1600. Hij huwde Adriana van Scharlaken, welk huwelijk kinderloos bleef.
