Hij is schepen van Dordrecht op 24 maart 1543 en zegelt met 7 merlettten zoomsgewijs, rechtsboven vergezeld van een vrijkwartier, beladen met een vijfpuntige ster. Op 1 januari 1566 is hij deken van de houtkopers aldaar en hij is gehuwd met jonkvrouwe Ermgaert van der Myle van Alblas Jansdochter, die nog op 23 november 1574 als zijn weduwe voorkomt.
