Notes about Christina POMPE

Christina Pompe van Slingelandt werd op 11 augustus 1647 gedoopt in Dordrecht. Haar vader, mr. Matthijs Pompe van Slingelandt (1621-1679), stamde uit een vooraanstaand regentengeslacht uit Dordrecht en nakomelingen werden in 1818 in de Nederlandse adel verheven en leven als jonkheren Pompe van Meerdervoort voort. In de Grote Kerk in Dordrecht herinnert aan de grootouders van Christina, Michiel Pompe van Meerdervoort en Adriana van Beveren, nog heden de begrafeniskapel, met een rijk gebeeldhouwd hek, dat bekroond wordt door hun beider monogrammen.
