Cornelis Aertsz van Driel, wonende in Portugael, prelegateert aan zijn zuster Neeltgen Aertsdr een stuk land aan de Hoffwech, een stuk land bij de Dicke molen, aan zijn zuster Elisabeth Aertsdr een stuk land in Albrantsweert, een stuk land aan de Langewech, aan zijn zuster Adriaentge Aertsdr een stuk land aan de Molewech bij de Kerckwech, en aan Hillitge Huygen, dochter van Maertge Aertsdr, zijn nicht, een stuk bij Ockers Heultge genaamd de Pitte, een stuk in de Weert op de Santel, een stuk op het Kijfftlant, verder aan Aert Heyndricxz Groenendijck, zoon van zijn broer Heyndrick Aertsz stukken land. Zijn erfgenamen, elk voor 1/5 deel, zijn Neeltgen Aertsdr, Elisabeth Aertsdr, Ariaentge Aertsdr, Hillitge Huijgen en Aert Heyndricxz Groenendijck.
Weduwe van Jan Doensz, was zeer vermogend, uit geslacht Doen Beijensz. Haar schoonzoon Pieter Hendr. van Goutswaert werd burgemeester van Rotterdam, twee van haar kleindochters trouwden met Rotterdamse burgemeesters. Blijkens haar zerk voerde zij als wapen de dubbele adelaar v.h. geslacht van Driel. Citaat NL1989: "Door zijn huwelijk met de 8 jaar oudere weduwe, kwam Willem min of meer in een gespreid bedje terecht. Vrijwel onmiddelijk kwam hij in het dorpsbestuur en wist 1614 het schoutenambt naar zich toe te trekken."
