Laatst bekleedde positie was "Ontvanger van het Brugse vrije" en daarmee behorende tot de gegoede burgers destijds. Zowel het godshuis (Dischhuis) de Pelikaan (bouw klaar in 1714 naar verluidt) als het Heerenhuis welke door hem zijn gebouwd bestaan nog. Zie de foto van het altaar in "de Pelikaan" (gelegen aan de Groene Rei, te Brugge). Hij werd op 4 dec 1683 benoemd tot griffier van de schatkist van de stad Brugge; 9 jaar later werd hij commies bij de belastingen in de wijk Franc, vervolgens algemeen ontvanger van die wijk op 18 jul 1698.
