Boer, waardsman van de Oud-Rijerwaard(1644-1646,1648). heemraad van Ridderkerk(1648), diaken te Ridderkerk(1632), ouderling te Ridderkerk(1651,1656,1662). Werd later ook De Oude genoemd.

Marichgen Bastiaens verklaarde op 2-3-1646 voor notaris Gijsbert te Jager te Dordrecht met Cornelis Arijensz Nuchteren "vleijselicke conversatie" gehad te hebben en "vader te sijn van haer kint, daeraff sij marichgen Bastiaensdr. nu all eenigen tijt geleden int kinderbedde heeft gelegen gehadt". Het kind zou tot haar mondigheid worden uitgesteed en onderhouden in eten, drinken, kleding, enz., waarvoor Arijen Arijensz Nuchteren, als vader van Cornelis Arijensz Nuchteren, zich borg stelde

Overeenkomst Ridderkerk 31-03-1646. Neeltgen Meeus, huisvrouw van Meeus Jorisz en als moeder en voogd over haar voordochter Marichgen Bastiaens, en Teeus Meeusz en Cornelis Meeusz als ooms en als voogden over de voornoemde Marichgen ter ene en Arijen Arijensz Nuchteren en Jacob Arijensz Nuchteren resp. als vader en broer van Cornelis Arijensz Nuchteren ter andere zijde verklaren dat Marichgen Bastiaens volgens akte van 2 maart 1646 - voor notaris Gijsbert de Jager te Dordrecht - heeft verklaard dat de voornoemde Cornelis Arijensz Nuchteren de vader is van haar kind. Arijen Nuchteren belooft er op toe te zien dat zijn zoon Cornelis Arijensz Nuchteren zijn kind zal onderhouden tot zijn meerderjarigheid.
