E: - GUILLAUME de MELUN, prince d'Epinoy, marquis de Richebourg, comte de Beausart, vicomte de Gand, seigneur de Roucourt et du Biez, grand d'Espagne, connétable de Flandre, sénéchal de Hainaut, lieutenant-Gouverneur et capitaine général du comté de Hainaut, gouverneur de Mons et prévôt de Douay, épousa en 1res noces, le 17 octobre 1612 Marie-Mencie de Witthem, marquise de Berg-op-Zoom, comtesse de Walhain, dame de Braine-l'alleud, et en 2des, le 3 novembre 1615,Ernestine-Claire-Eugénie d'Aremberg, fille de Charles de Ligne, comte d'Aremberg, baron de Zevenberg, et d'Anne de Croÿ, duchesse d'Aerschot et princesse de Chimay.
Du second mariage naquirent onze enfants, cinq fils et six filles ; tous furent baptisés au château du Biez.
En 1634, Guillaume de Melun dut émigrer en France. Il mourut à St Quentin, le 8 Septembre 1635. Son épouse, qui l'avait suivi sur la terre d'exil avec Claire, sa fille aînée, mourut au couvent des Dominicaines, à Abbeville, le 12 janvier 1653.
