d of Knokin in 1198; had  a grant of Wrockwardine in 1203, and a market at Hunstanton in 1225.   Died before 20 Jan. 1234.  Page 963: In 1196/7 he aquired rights  to land at Knockin, Salop, from his cousins, daughters of his uncle Guy.

SOURCES:e was the son and heir of John I Lestrange and Hawise.  In 1196/97 he acquired rights in lands at Knockin, Salop, from his cousins, daughters of his uncle Guy. ; In 1198, he took the place of his cousin Ralph, who was ill, in the King's service.  In 1213 he was given custody of the castle of Carreghova.  In 1216 the King committed to him the counties of Staffordshire and Salop and directed he was to be treated as the Sheriff., when his son did homage.
