DEATH: Will of Matthew Farley of Powhatan Co., Virginia son of John Farley, Jr. and Elizabeth Archer (Akien). Powhatan Co., VA was taken from Chesterfield in 1777.

DEATH: Matthew Farley's will was written 1st August 1791, recorded 16th February, 1792 in Powhatan. His will mentions my daughter-in-law Obedience Farley and her 7 children of my deceased son Matthew Farley.

DEATH: I give to my daughter Phebe Booth; I give to my son Peter Farley (who is of unsound mind); I give to my daughter, Mary Wilson; I lend to my daughter Judith Watkins. I give and bequeath to my Executor's my negros Oby, and Man in trust to be by them sold and money arising from the sale to be equally divided among the 10 children of my daughter Sarah Hatcher, deceased.

DEATH: I do appoint my friends Arthur Mosely of Butterwood; Robert Haskins; E dward Moseley and Edward Watkins, Jr., Executors of this my last will and testament---
