E: de Lannoy, erfvrouwe van Lannoy, Rollencourt, Santes, Tronchiennes, Bourbourg, Boelaar, Odijk, enz., geb. 1513, overl. 1562, tr. 16.4.1531 Maximiliaan van Egmond, graaf van Buren, generaal van keizer Karel V, ridder in de Orde van het Gulden Vlies 1531, volgde in 1539 zijn vader op als graaf van Buren en Leerdam, heer van Ijsselstein, St. Maartensdijk, Kortgene, Kranendonk en Jaarsveld. Werd in 1540 stadhouder van Friesland en kreeg voor zijn militaire prestaties in 1546 van de keizer het graafschap Teckelenburg. Hij overleed aan een halsgezwel te Brussel op 24.12.1548, gekleed in volle wapenrusting en omringd door zijn vrienden en bedienden, in de hofdzaal van zijn paleis.
