Né le 29 décembre 1864 à Paris (8e).

Député des Deux-Sèvres de 1898 à 1906.

Le marquis de Maussabré-Beufvier fit ses études classiques chez les Jésuites. Il fut admis en 1885 à lâÇÖécole de Saint-Cyr d'où il sortit, en 1887, pour suivre lâÇÖécole de cavalerie de Saumur. Officier de cavalerie, il démissionne le 1er août 1897.

Conseiller général, il fut élu au second tour député de Parthenay (Deux-Sèvres) en 1898 par 11 652 voix contre 10 348 à M. Lebon sur 25 014 inscrits.

A la Chambre, il s'inscrit au groupe antisémite et à la droite monarchique et se signale en outre par son intervention sur un amendement relatif à l'amélioration de la gare de Thouars. Il fut réélu en 1902 par 11 830 voix contre 10 368 à M. Lebon sur 25 463 inscrits.

Au cours de cette législature, on lui doit un rapport sur l'élection de M. Emmanuel Arene pour l'arrondissement d'Ajaccio.

Les élections de 1906 ne lui furent pas favorables. Il fut en effet battu, avec 1 785 voix sur 22 914 votants, par le radical Demellier, 11 976 voix.

Cet échec mit fin à sa carrière politique.
