Some notes for John REDMAN, II n=abt.1667 & his son John REDMAN, III n=abt.1688:

1712-1714 John REDMAN, III (n=abt.1688) seems to have been a somewhat turbulent character in his youth & was in some slight trouble with the Court [1705-1721 Order Book p187a,249,254].

1720 More serious trouble arose when either John II or his son John III was accused of having instigated Mrs. Rebecca CHILTON's slaves to burn her boat [1705-1721 Order-Book p393a,394,396].

The trouble was so serious that both John REDMANs (II & III) removed about that year to MD,St.Mary's-Co where apparently John II still owned the land bought in 1664 by his father, John REDMAN, I.

The nephew of John REDMAN, II who was also called John REDMAN (son of Solomon REDMAN) also moved with them at this time.
