Canajoharie Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Esperance and
attended its schools. He had lived in Canajoharie, for many years and was employed as a sheet metal worker with the New York Central Railroad for
40 years. He retired in 1947. His wife. Mrs' Ida Failing Montanye died In 1970
Mr. Montanye was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church,, a 60-year member of Canajoharie Odds Fellows Lodge* and Old Forte Rebekah Lodge, the Palatine Union Grange, and the Montgomery ??? Grange.
He is survived by a brother, Hiram Montanye of Caroga Lake, a sister, Mrs. Anna Sutton, of Beekmans Village, Chester, Pa. The funeral will be a 2 Monday from Lentz Funeral Home, burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
