Notes about Elenor (Elenor "Nellie") "Nellie" Shufelt

It seems clear that Nellie Shufelt was a widow when she married Edward Montanye. It  also seems highly possible that Adam and John Shufelt (who married daughters of Edward Montanye) were her sons by her first marriage.  Since John C. Shufelt was the Shufelt man in the Esperance area who died about the time that Nellie became a widow, he has been listed here as Nellie's first husband.  So far, however, we have not been able to prove Nellie was indeed a widow when she married Edward Montanye.
