Listed with Elizabeth Montanye  in both the census of 1850 and 1860. Elizabeth is listed as the head of household on both occasions.  In 1860 Elizabeth was listed as just 37 years old (she had aged 7 years in the 10 year period), a milliner owning $400 of real estate.  Milton is listed as 28 years old in 1850, a farmer.  By 1860 he was just 35 years old, a cooper.  Both censuses find the brother/sister combination living in Washington Twp., Licking County, Ohio. Milton does not appear to have married until after his sister's death. Elizabeth was buried in Utica Cemetery, Licking County, Ohio, as were Milton and his two wives..
