    Warren L. Montoney
    Warren Lee Montoney, 78, a resident of Harman, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2004, in the Emergency Department of Davis Memorial Hospital.
    He was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Elkins, the son of the late Omer Daniel Montoney and Rosa Teter Montoney Harper. On Jan. 24, 1949, he was married to the former Pheba Jean Harper, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Stephen W. Montoney and wife, Sheila, of Harman; one brother, Richard Montoney and wife, Dorothy, of Elkins; one half brother, Donald Montoney and wife, Twila, of Florida; and one sister, Argie Zofsak of Clarksburg. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Snyder John Montoney and Courtney Melinda Montoney; and one stepgrandson, Aaron Goff. Two sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Montoney was a graduate of Elkins High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and also served in the Merchant Marines after the war. He retired from the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C., where he worked as a model builder. He was a Protestant by faith. Mr. Montoney was a 60-year member of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Potomac Lodge No. 5 AF & AM of Washington, D.C., and a 32nd-degree Mason with the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Wheeling. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Walter Blough officiating. Interment will follow at the Jacob C. Harper Cemetery near Harman, where Elkins Lodge No. 108 AF & AM will conduct Masonic graveside rites. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Warren Lee Montoney.
