Notes about Ida Barlow

Ida Barlow Hoff did not have an easy life.  Born a twin, her twin Ira died young.  Ida herself was orphaned early and widowed early, and she worked as a domestic most of her life.  One researcher claims that she was married a second time, becoming  Ida Barlow Eggleston.  I can find nothing to verify this information but the 1930 census shows the widowed Ida B. Eggleston working as a cook at the Getman Memorial Home for Women in Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.  This could, of course, be another woman of the same age.
