    Noxen Man Hit by Car Is Critical
    At approximately 5:00 PM, Thursday, William C. Wright exited the Noxen Methodist Church. As he stepped out from between two parked cars, toward the driver's door of his vehicle, he was struck by a vehicle driven by Paul R. Keiper, 23, of Noxen. Bill suffered a possible fractured skull, broken leg and other injuries. The Noxen ambulance treated and transported him to General Hospital, Tunkhannock where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning. His funeral was held Monday, February 6, at the Nulton Funeral Home in Beaumont and officiated by Rev. John Gordon of the Noxen Methodist Church. Born in South Run to Charles S. and Mary Montanye Wright, he lived most of his life in Noxen and worked many years at the Armour Leather Company. In addition to his wife Famma, he was survived by children: Frank of Brooklyn New York, Albert of Harrison Valley, Mrs. Mildred Gailey and Mrs. Florence Pond both of Noxen, Mrs. Grace Minard of Plainfield New Jersey, Roy of Binghamton New York, Ira Wright and Mrs. Claire Garrett both of Johnson City New York, Clarence of Painted Post New York, Mrs. Dorcas Faux of West Nanticoke, Mrs. Evelyn Buckman of Tunkhannock, Leonard Osceola Florida, 30 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Jenny Boice and a brother James both of Tunkhannock.
