    I was googling my grandmother's name to see if her obituary had been posted on any of the local papers sites and was amazed to find her name in your list of family members.  Her name was Ruth Audene Allen, daughter of Vella May Bowen.  She was married to Jesse Orval Allen. As far as I can see you have the dates that you have correct. However,  I am saddened to let you know that you can now add her date of death as she passed away yesterday in Harrison County Missouri.

    Ruth A. Allen,  November 20, 1915 - March 10, 2009;
    Ruth Audene Allen, was born November 20, 1915 in Worth County, Missouri, the daughter of Charles M. and Vella May (Smith) Bowen and departed this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Bethany, Missouri at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 20 days.
    On September 20, 1934, she married Orval Allen in Grant City, Missouri. They were married 61 years before his death on October 7, 1995. To this union 4 children were born, Elvis Ray (Nancy) Allen, Lela (Norman) Snead, Lois (Terry) Collins and June (Pat) Abplanalp all who survive. Also surviving are 9 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild and expecting 2 more; 2 heartfelt great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orval; brother, Raymond Bowen; half-brothers, Carl Bowen and Elmo Smith.
    Ruth accepted Christ as her savior and joined the New Harmony Baptist Church at an early age. She remained faithful to New Harmony until the end, sometimes coming with her walker.
    She loved working outdoors. She was either hoeing her garden and flowers or she might even be picking wild berries or picking up walnuts. She also loved making quilts and then giving them away. Every family member has 2 or 3 quilts. When her eyesight and health started failing and she had to move to Crestview she kept right on quilting, making lap robes and giving them away. Ruth enjoyed every minute of life, always joking and teasing with everyone (even a little pinch now and then). But with all her joys in life she was happiest when her family was around.
    She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
