MRS. ED MONTAYNE DEAD AT AGE 69
Mrs. Ida J. Montayne, 69, a resident of Janesville for 30 years, died at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday in her home, 1521 Ravine Street.
Mrs. Montayne, who was formerly Miss Ida J. Clapper, was born on a farm near Sharon on June 24, 1861, and married July 4, 1877.  She is survived by her husband, Edward L. Montayne, and four children, Mrs. Herbert Clapp and Charles Montayne, Janesville;  Mrs. Charles McNeil, Clinton, and Claude Montayne, Evansville; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; her mother Mrs. Anson Clapper, Allen Grove; three brothers, Sherman Clapper, Avalon; Frank Clapper, Sharon; and George Clapper, Rockford; and three sisters, Mrs. Jack Sweet and Mrs. George Broomhead, Allen Grove; and Mrs. W. J. Two, Rockton, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Whaley-Overton Funeral home with the Rev. R. Burton Sheppard, Methodist church, to officiate.
