Nævnes første gang 1456. Medbeseglede 1469 ridderskabets forbundsbrev og 1470 konkordaterne i Segeberg. Fik omkring 1475 den sydlige del af  Westensee sogn (det senere godsdistrikt Deutsch Nienhoh med Pohlsee, hvormed stemmer, at hans brodersønner senere ejede den nordlige del (Emkendorf, Bossee og Westensee)).



Var 1475-78 foged på Segeberg, fra1480 og senest 1490 dronning Dorotheas amtmand over Rendsborg. Medforseglede 1490 delingsbrevet med kong Christian og hertug Frederik. Var fra 1490 og til sin død amtmand på Glamsbæk og over Femern. Fulgte 1494 hertug Frederik til Danmark . Afhændede 1494-99 Nienhof mv. til Henrik Blome til Seedorf mod Saxtorp. Faldt i slaget ved Hemmingstedt.
