Caulkins, 1852 states: He married in December 1677 Christobel, daughter of John Gallup.page XV.     Christobel Gallup married Peter-1 Crary Dec. 31, 1677. She was the daughter of Captain John Gallop, Jr. and his wife Hannah Lake who was the daughter of Margaret (Read) Lake and John Lake of Erby, England. His ancestor, John Lake of Normanton through the Caillys was descended from William D'Albini, Third Earl of Arundel & Sussex & his wife Mabille de Mesechines a descendant of William the Conqueror. The D'Albinis through the Lorraines were descended from Louis I, King of France, Charlemagne and Alfred the Great. For details see "Americans of Royal Descent" by Charles H. Browning.
