RAEDT (Gualtherus de), geb. 27 Juni 1683 te Rotterdam, overl. aldaar 29 April 1740, was een zoon van Dirck de Raedt en Françoyse Fagel (hiervoor). Hij werd 29 Sept. 1701 te Leiden als student ingeschreven en promoveerde aldaar in de rechten 6 Aug. 1705 op een diss. de Tutelis. In 1711 werd hij tot schepen benoemd in zijn vaderstad; vroedschapslid werd hij in 1719 en bleef dit tot zijn dood. Tusschen 1720 en 1732 was hij meermalen gedeputeerde ter dagvaart, van 1727-1730 gecommitteerde raad en van 1722-1725 lid van den Raad van State. In 1730 en 1731 bekleedde hij het ambt van burgemeester en van 1732-1740 had hij zitting in het college der admiraliteit op de Maas. Hij was ridder, baronet, heer van Dubbeldam en Kijfhoek en van 1709-1710 schepen van Cool. Hij huwde 1 Aug. 1718 met Margaretha Rosiana Fagel.
