1440; commission issued for his arrest, Jan 1457-58, for using
threatening language to Joan, widow of his uncle John PIGOTT,
probably over her dower lands, & entered into a recognisance to her
in the sum of 100 marks, 1459; marr Ellen, daur of Robert de LEIGH of
Adlynton by his 2nd wife Isabel, daur of Sir William STANLEY, Knt,
Lord of Hotton; issue:
1. Robert PIGOTT. See next below.
2. Anne; marr John DOWNES; issue (recorded in 1580 Visitation of Cheshire):
a. Renold DOWNES, of Downes & Taxhall; marr Jane, daur of George
TRAFFORD of the Garrett.
