1) Variation of Given Name Spelling:  There is some family disagreement on how Mr. Horn spelled his given name.  His children by Ellen Fields spell his given name Jesse; however, his children by Tennie Hollis spell his given name Jessie and as such, any descendants from this line also spell their names Jessie. [Note:  On the 1900 and 1910 Census records his name was spelled "Jessie" but on the 1880 and 1930 census records it is was spelled "Jesse".]]
2) US Census, 1880 - Jesse Horn (age 5) is found on this census.  He is living in the home of his father. C. C. Horn (see Christopher Columbus Horn for full details).
3) US Census, 1900 - Beat 2, San Augustine Co., TX, ED75, HH313-313, Pg. 210A, Sheet 19, Household of Columbus Horn - Jessie R. 7) Obituary for Jesse R. Horn, Chickasha Daily Express, Chickasha, OK: "Horn Service Held In Chapel" - Funeral services were held for Jessie Ransom Horn, 79, at 2 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Chickasha Funeral Home.  Rev. Elzie Periman of Alex Missionary Baptist Church officiated.   Mr. Horn died at 2 pm Saturday in his home in Alex.  He was born September 10, 1876 and came to Oklahoma in 1916 from St. (San) Augustine, Texas.  He had lived in the Chickasha and Alex areas since that time.  He engaged in farming most of his life, he retired in1943.  Mr. Horn was a member of the Baptist Church in Lindsay.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tinnie Horn of the home; eight sons, Clayton, Elvin, Archie, Kirksie and Lawrence all of Chickasha, Jerry of Eugene, Ore., Harold of Roseberg, Ore., and Jessie Ray of Alex; and two daughters, Mrs. Ethel White of Roseberg and Miss Wanda Mae Horn of Chickasha.  Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery under direction of chickasha Funeral Home.
