Il fut créé Chevalier par LL. MM. le roi Charles et la reine Marie-Anne, par lettres dépêchées de Madrid, le 13 aout 1673 et obtint, tant pour lui et tous ses enfants légitimes , et tous leurs descendants à perpétuité, décoration de noblesse et la décoration d'anciennes armoiries ; savoir : pour supports , deux griffons d'or , allumés d'argent , à  la prunelle de gueules , lampassés et armés de même, et pour cimier : un griffon de même, issant d'un bourlet, au lieu du coq.
