    Thomas Ballard, remained in York Co., Virginia, and Virginia Ballards trace from him. There may have been other siblings. Joseph Ballard, son of Grace, William Ballard's second wife and any of his sibling brothers are the source of the Ballard families of Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Ohio
