Contesté : le problème de décalage de générations provoqué par la généalogie de La Chesnaye-Desbois se retrouve chez d'autres auteurs qui comblent la génération qui leur manque indéniablement en faisant de Catherine, soeur cadette de Béatrix, la fille d'André d'Haraucourt (mort en 1484), lui-même fils de Gérard II) et de Marguerite de Fenestrange, baronne de Brandebourg et de Falkenstein.
