SCHWARTZENBERG EN HOHENLANSBERG (Michael Onuphrius thoe) (1), ged. te Leeuwarden 14 Juli 1695, aldaar overl. 27 April 1758, zoon van Wilco Holdinga, grietman van Barradeel, die volgt, en van Fed Sophia van Goslinga.

Wegens vroegtijdig overlijden van zijn vader, werd hij opgevoed bij zijn oom Sicco van Goslinga, grietman van Franekeradeel. 6 Febr. 1725 werd hijzelf door afstand van zijn broeder Georg Wolfgang (2) hiervóór, grietman van Dantumadeel. Als bijzonder bedreven in de wis- en werktuigkunde werd hij met Philip Frederik Vegelin van Claerbergen in 1729 uit de Gedep. staten van Friesland gecommitteerd tot de overdijking van het Dokkumerdiep en den aanleg der Dokkumer-Nieuwe-Zijlen. Ter gedachtenis van dit belangrijke werk werd door de Staten van Friesland daarbij een hardsteenen pyramide opgericht, waarop naam en wapen der gecommitteerden zijn aangebracht. Ingenieur-uitvoerder was Willem Loré.

Michael Onuphrius huwde te Rinsumageest in Juni 1726 met Margaretha Maria van Gendt, geb. 29 Oct. 1707, overl. te Leeuwarden 26 Jan. 1766, dochter van Frederik Hendrik (vgl. dl. VI, kol. 570) en van Helena Veronica van Aylva. Uit dit huwelijk sproten twee zoons: Wilco, die volgt, en Frederik Willem van Gendt thoe S. en H. Deze laatste, geb. 7 Juli 1743 was J.U.D., jonkheer der D.O., balye van Utrecht, ontvanger van de floreenen en schrijver van een compagnie infanterie. Hij is op den 7en of 8en Juni 1774 op ongelukkige wijze omgekomen (verbrand) en overleed ongehuwd.
