marquis de Sillery et de Puysieux, secrétaire d’Etat et des Finances (janvier 1607-avril 1640), ambassadeur en Espagne (1612), s’empara de Montpellier en 1622 (Louis XIII lui promit en récompense de le faire duc et pair et chevalier de ses ordres, mais une intrigue de cour empêcha l’effet de cette promesse et, furieux, le marquis de Puysieux se retira dans ses terres, où il mourut, toujours secrétaire d’Etat), marié le 11 janvier 1605 à Charlotte d’Estampes-Valençay (v1597 + 8 septembre 1677, âgée de 80 ans).
