NOTE:Gijsbert Roelofsz. Geboren ca. 1500, overleden op 24-07-1562 te Eck, begraven te Eck, gerichtsman (1547) en nabuur(1552) van Eck.
Gijsbert is Culemborgs jaarpachter van 3 morgen land te Eck en voor 3/4e deel (naast Roelof Henrickss en de erfgenamen van Roelof van Darthuijsen voor 1/4 deel) pachter van een uiterwaard en de Steenweert te Wiel, alsmede van een annex gelegen middelwaard. Hij zegelt als waarborg bij de verkoop van een huis en land te Eck in 1544; citeert als gerichtsman vanaf 1547 diverse malen on geschillen omtrent een middenzand bij Wiel en wordt in 1551 ca. 51 jaart oud genoemd. In een verkoop akte zegelt hij samen met Jan Wolterss als tijnsgenot en Henrick van Eck als tijnsheer. Op 28-12-1555 schrijft hij een kwitantie uit voor zijn broeder Jan Rolofss, pastoor van Maurik, die zelf niet schrijven kan. Als Gijsbrecht Roelofss wordt hij 8-4-1561 ca. 60 jaar oud en 'goet van namen' genoemd.
Uit de vondst in 1872 van zijn blauwe grafsteen met ingehakt wapen blijkt hij op 24-7-1562 te zijn overleden en te Eck begraven. Het wapen vertoonde vijf lelies (3:2) onder een in drieen afhangende barensteel.
