Hij moet ouder zijn dan 60 jaar, hetwelk in de geboorteakte van Norma Mollet, hij als getuige aangifte deed van haar geboorte en vermeld stond:'In tegenwoordigheid van JOHAN HENDRIK REMEEUS, oud zestig jaren, van beroep stalmeester van den Sultan van Jokjakarta, enz.". --.

Notes about Johan Hendrik Remeeus

--Trad als 18 jarige in militaire dienst onder volgnummer 73, als soldaat (lagere militairen kwamen niet voor in het adresboek, zodoende geen gegevens in het R.A. Werd op 18 oktober 1898 onderscheiden met de "Medaille voor Trouwen Dienst" als belooning voor de wijze gedurende 24 jaren (dubbeltelling tropen) bij het Leger heeft gediend in de rang van den Europese Wachtmeester bij de lijfwachtdragonders. Onder volnummer 906, kreeg hij het "Certificaat van goed gedrag" van zijn Commandant J.P.Kohn, te Djokjakarta op 24 oktober 1901, eervol ontslag en van de Lijfwacht Dragonders afgevoerd. Hij trad daarna in dienst als Koetsier van Sultan Hamenku Buwono de 8ste van Djokjakarta en kwam voor in de "Indische adresboeken" van het jaar 1903 t/m 1920. Mogelijk is hij daarna voor de 2e keer met pensioen gegaan, verder mag vermeld worden dat hij ook de Atjeh en Lombok expeditie heeft meegemaakt.--.
