Knight and fought gloriously at 5 june 1288 at the battle of Woeringen. See the work of Constant Noppen (1991) pages 42-53 and Louis de Bondt (2010). The statue of Daniel are at the Nationale Plantentuin van Belgie. Daniel fortified the castle of Bouchout with a Donjon tower of 20 meters, probably at about 1300. Lord of Bouchout, Humbeek and Diepensteyn.
