Winschoten. De heer T. Nieboer alhier heeft eervol ontslag aangevraagd als agent van politie alhier. De heer N. was achtereenvolgens vier jaar marechausse te Kerkrade, drie jaar agent van politie te Arnhem en de laatse 23 jaar alhier.
Gedurende deze 23 jaren heeft de heer Nieboer zich als een uitstekend politieman doen kennen, eerlijk en accuraat, steeds zijn plichten trouw vervullende.

Gemeenteraad van Winschoten. ... in besloten zitting werd besproken het volgende voorstel van B. en W. om tegen den Febr. j.l. oud-dienaar van politie, Tijs Nieboer, die na veel aanmaningen in gebreke blijft, met zijn gezin en goed de ambtswoning te ontruimen, zoodat de opvolger die niet kan betrekken, tot ontruiming te procedeeren.
