Records in Maassluis still show Jan in 1782 as the eldest child still living with his parents. It is not known where or when he died, but it must have been after 1782. There are no records in Maassluis today that show him to have gotten married there, nor is there a record of his death. It would appear to be likely that he moved elsewhere after 1782 when he was, after all, only 14 years old. As was the case with other children in this family, his movements are unclear and, at the very least, have gone unrecorded!
