Voor het huwelijk is dispensatie (toestemming) gevraagd moeten worden aan de H.Stoel. Voor het huwelijk werd aangegaan was er reeds een huwelijk geweest. De kerk zou na het eerste huwelijk tot de ontdekking zijn gekomen dat er aanverwantschap bestond tussen Bartolomeus Knepkens en Anna Coenen. Dit huwelijk is achteraf ongeldig verklaard (dus als zijnde nooit bestaan), omdat er geen stoestemming was van de H.Stoel.
Bij het huwelijk op 10-02-1695 is tevens Theodorus alsnog geecht (met toestemming van de H.Stoel).),
