Het jaar achttien honderd negen en tachtig den tienden december om vier ure namiddag voor ons Jozef Jan Canterman schepen gedelegueerden ambtenaar van den burgerstand der gemeente Sint-Gillis waas, provincie oostvlaanderen is gekomen LodewijkVan duyse oud negen en veertig jaren werkman hier geboren en woonende, den welken ons heeft vertoond een kind van het vrouwelijk geslacht hier geboren heden om drie uren des morgens in zijne wooning Schuilhoek nummer vijf van hem verklaarder en van Delphina Megroedt oud vijf en dertig jaren kantwerkster geboren te Meerdonk en hier woonende zijne huisvrouw en waaraan nij verklaarde te willen geven den voornaam van August de vertooning en verklaring gedaen in de tegenwoordigheid van Theofiel Jozef Van Haute oud zes en veertig jaren sekretaris en Norbert Eduard Pauwels oud twee en zestig jaren, herbergier beide hier wonende getuigen hiertoe door den komparant aanzocht en hebben wij onmiddellijk dezen akt opgseteld en na voorlezing benevens de getuigen onderteekend den vader verklaarde niet te konnen door ongeleerdheid Bron: F.
