Urbanus Brontgeest
Wordt als lid van de Vlaamse gemeente genoemd in 1675, en waarschijnlijk als diaken in 1682. Op 4 december 1680 ontvingde Vlaamse gemeente te Rotterdam een brief van Delft, ondertekend door Urbanus Brontgeest.
Het betreft Urbanus Jansz. van Brontgeest. Deze was een zoon van de Delftse kuiper (ook suikerbakker) Jan Cornelisz. vanBrontgeest en diens eerste vrouw Anna Urbanus (Oorbaens). Urbanus werd op 15 februari 1626 in de Nieuwe kerk te Delftgedoopt. Overleden 5 oktober 1693 in Leerdam.

27 december 1673
Op de kerkenraadskamer te Rotterdam kwamen vier ‘vrienden van Delft’, te weten: Jan Huygen vander Linden, Aerent de Man,Urbanus van Brontgeest en Jacobus Vermaender. Zij kwamen spreken over de vereniging en hadden een briefje van IsackVermander bij zich.
