Op 26 aug werd aan de kerk van Wassenaar het "Regt van de Dood kleeden" betaald; 16 stuivers, voor " 't Slegte kleed".

De namen van de ouders van Annetje zijn niet zeker, evenals de geboorteplaats en de geboortedatum; De namen van broersen zussen zijn herleid uitnamen van de doopgetuigen van haar kinderen.

Er is geen attestatie in Valkenburg gevonden van een Annetje Jacobse Verhoeven voor een huwelijk met Hendrik Hollander.Er is wel een attestatie van een Annetje Jacobse Verhoef voor een huwelijk in 1729 met Jacob Huiberts Erberveld, J.M.van Katwijk aan den Rhijn.
De meeste doopgetuigen Verhoeven bij de kinderen van Hendrik en Annetje worden niet gevonden als broers en zussen vanAnnetje in het gezin van Jacob Maartensz Verhoeven en Aaltje Cornelis van der Spek. De naam Aaltje wordt ook nietvernoemd bij de kinderen van Hendrik en Annetje.
De conclusie is dat de afstamming van Annetje Verhoeven, zoals die sedert jaren werd aangenomen, en zoals die hier isaangegeven, minder waarschijnlijk is.

In 2006/2007 is een nieuw onderzoek gestart, met als resultaat een mogelijk andere afkomst van Annetje Verhoeven, dievolgens dit onderzoek afkomstig zou zijn uit Groessen in het land van Kleef. Anna Catharina Verhoeven zou gedoopt zijnop 13 juli 1708 in Groessen bij Duiven; haar ouders zouden dan Theodorus (Dirck) Verhoeven en Jacoba Gysbers zijn.
De resultaten van dit onderzoek zijn hier in te zien.
Het wettelijk huwelijk werd geregistreerd bij de "Duitsche kerk" in Den Haag. Het gebouw was gelegen aan het Noordeinde,en stond later bekend als "de Engelse kerk".
