Hij verhuisde in 1906 van Wolvega (Fr) naar Rauwerderhem (Fr), kwam in 1913 vanuit Lemsterland (Fr) terug naar Wolvega (Fr), vertrok rond 1915 naar Boston (USA). Hij keerde later getrouwd terug in Wolvega (Fr) vanuit Neuss (Duitsland). Hij was toen bierbottelaar. In de jaren 1931-1936 ging hij een aantal malen van Wolvega (Fr) naar Duitsland en kwam in 1932 ook in Wijk aan Zee (NH). In 1936 gingen hij en zijn vrouw naar Drachten (Fr) en kort daarna ging Albert de Leeuw weer naar Duitsland (Rheinland). In 1936 werd het huwelijk ontbonden, kinderloos (Alberts vrouw had wel een kind uit een vorig huwelijk: Sophia Luise Ungermann,* Dusseldorf (Duitsland) 17-11-1911).
Gehuwd op 31-jarige leeftijd op 27-04-1923 te Neuss (Duitsland), gescheiden na 13 jaar huwelijk in 1936 te Den Haag (ZH) van Katharina Antonie Christians PLATT, huishoudster, geboren op 13-05-1891 te Dusseldorf (Duitsland).
