<p>Van 1935 tot oktober 1939 helper thuis, bakkerij en broodbesteller.</p> <p>op 16 oktober 1939 opgeroepen te Etterbeek als soldaat bij het tweede vervoerkorps.</p> <p>In januari 1940 ingedeeld bij de gemobiliseeerden in Mortsel (Oude God) bij D.T.2/9.D.I/1 P.A.M.I. in 't frans "deuxième corps de transport, neuvième division infanterie premier peleton automobbile munition infanterie".</p> <p>Op zondag 18 april 1943 (Palmenzondag) opgepakt door de Duitsers in cinema Flora te Heist op den Berg. Na een maand aan de Franse kust, weggevoeerd naar Duitsland (Ruhrgebied). Einde mei 1945 teruggekeerd.</p> <p>Oudstrijder 1940-1945.</p> <p&gt;Daarna terug helper thuis in de bakkerij.</p> <p>Vanaf 1960 tot 1966 zelfstandig bakker. Gestopt wegens knie-operatie. Vanaf 1 februari 1967 in dienst bij Kemisol, fabrikant van issolatiematerialen in uitgezette polystyreen te Heist op den Berg. Vanaf 2 februari 1981 met brugpensioen en vanaf november 1984 met rustpensioen.</p>
