    huwelijk: Willem en Jacobje zijn tot nu toe de oudste gevonden voorouders Korving. Er is niet veel over hen bekend. In 1680 hadden zij 4 kinderen boven de 10 jaar en 1 tussen de 8 en de 10 jaar. Willem was zeeman, wat betekende dat hij waarschijnlijk geen visser was, maar opvarende van een oorlogs- of koopvaardijschip. Volgens de Geschiedenis van Scheveninge van J.C. Vermaas, blz. 46, blijkt uit een notariele akte van 16 april 1695 dat "Willem Jansz. Korvijn out 70 jaeren" in 1672 schutter was bij de schutterij te Scheveningen. Over de begraafdatum van Willem bestaat nog onzekerheid. Het is mogelijk dat hij de "Willem Janszn." was die op 3 september 1698 werd begraven.
