Notes about Johannes (Jan) Stet

De Castricumse familie Stet.

De huidige generatie Stet die in Castricum woont, stamt bijna uitsluitend af van genoemde ARIE JANSZOON STEDT, die in 1688 trouwde met AAGJE CLAASDOCHTER. Hun acht kinderen werden te Limmen gedoopt, terwijl Arie ook als boer in Rinnegom (gemeente Egmond) te boek staat. Van dit gezin zetten de drie zoons Claas-, Dirk- en Wulbert Ariensz Stedt het geslacht voort.

CLAAS ARIENSZ STEDT werd in 1690 gedoopt in Limmen en huwde met MAARTJE CORNELISSE Het gezin telde twee zoons, Cornelis Claasz Stet en Albert Claasz Stet, geboren resp. 1726 en 1727 in Limmen.

ALBERT STET huwde in 1753 met JANNETJE REIJERSDOCHER VAN HOUTEN en zij gingen wonen in de Nieuwpoort bij Alkmaar.
Hun enige zoon REIJER STET vernoemd naar Jannetjes vader, trouwde met de Castricumse NEELTJE IJPELAAN.
Zij betrokken in de Oosterbuurt van Castricum de boerderij van Neeltjes vader, gelegen op de hoek van het Kronenburgerlaantje en de Doodweg.
Dit gezin kreeg twee zoons, Albert Stet en KLAAS STET, geboren resp. 1787 en 1793, van wie de meeste leden van de Castricumse familie Stet afstammen. Het jaarboekje van de Werkgroep Oud-Castricum geeft hiervan een verder overzicht.
