Lubbert Schut werkte in 1749 met drie meiden en knechts. Behalve zijn eigen twee kinderen, had hij nog twee jonge kinderen van een broer in huis. De moelenopstal is in januari 1752 bezwaard met een lening van 500 gld, die eerst in 1785 is geroyeerd. Lubbert Schut overleed in mei 1764. De weduwe zette het bedrijf nog enkele jaren voort, totdat zij op 3 december 1770 de vijf vijfhamerbaksmolen met huis, gaanderwerk, schuur en oven, staande op grond van de heer van Doorwerth, voor 1300 gld verkocht aan Marten Schut en Catharina Bree. De weduwe is daarop naar Arnhem vertrokken.
Marten Pouwels Schut is eerst gehuwd geweest met Geertruid van de Wiltenberg, die in 1746 stierf. Uit dat huwelijk werden in Renkum gedoopt Pouwel in 1760 en Cornelia in 1764. Hij hertrouwde met Catharina de Bree, waaruit geboren te Heelsum Geertruid (1767), Willem (1770) en Catharina (1772). Marten Schut trouwde voor de derde maal in november 1775 met Caatje van Donselaar, en uit dat huwelijk stammen Gerrit (1776), Cornelis (1783) en Anna Maria (1785). Door een hiaat in de begraafboeken is de sterfdatum van Marten Schut onbekend; als in september 1800 Caatje van Donselaar sterft, is zij reeds weduwe.
De zoon Gerrit is zijn vader opgevolgd; nog in 1812 gebruikte hij de schepvormen van zijn vader met de initialen M.P.S.

In 1812 wordt de molen omschreven als een witpapiermolen met 21 hamers en een jaarproduktie van slechts 800 à 900 riem. Schut is nooit getrouwd; hij werkte met een knecht, een jongen en een huishoudster, later samen met zijn broer Cornelis Schut. Gerrit Schut, die burgemeester van Doorwerth is geweest, overleed op 1 juni 1848. Op 20 november van dat jaar hebben de broers en zusters en hun kinderen de molenopstal voor 1500 gld verkocht aan baron van Brakell, heer van Doorwerth.
