Blz 286: Brummen, Het Klooster
In 1836 is het Klooster afgebrand, maar weer herbouwd. In 1860 werd de zaak overgenomen door zoon Marten Cornelis Sanders, geboren in 1831. In 1865 brandde de molen opnieuw af. Weer werd de molen herbouwd. Kort daarna associeerde Marten Cornelis zich met zijn broer Hendrikus (geboren 1828), tot dan papiermaker op de molen 'Welgedacht' te Laag-Soeren. Op 1 november 1878 werd de firma Gebroeders Sanders opgericht. De molen werd nu als machinale fabriek ingericht. Er kwam een 25 pk stoomketel en een 120 cm brede Duitse pakpapiermachine, waarop dagelijks 300 kg papier kon worden gemaakt. Een jaar later werd al in twee ploegen van 12 uur gewerkt en daardoor steeg de capaciteit tot 500 á 600 kg grijspapier. Door allerlei verbeteringen werd de produktie op den duur opgevoerd toot 1000 kg per dag. In 1902 werd de directie van de firma overgedragen aan Hendrikus zoon Willem Andries (geboren 1874) en een zoon van Marten Cornelis, ook Marten Cornelis Sanders geheten, geboren 1875.
